Harbor Springs, Michigan
Birchwood Farms Golf & Country Club
A yearly college teammate reunion spot, just up the road from Traverse City. Green clay, good company, and a longtime director who always made us feel right at home.
TC Tennis Academy · World Travels
From the Italian Riviera to the French Côte d'Azur to Florida's Atlantic shore
Over the years we've had the privilege of playing at some of the world's most remarkable tennis clubs — each one unforgettable for its courts, its culture, and the community that calls it home.
Harbor Springs, Michigan
A yearly college teammate reunion spot, just up the road from Traverse City. Green clay, good company, and a longtime director who always made us feel right at home.
Indian River Shores, Florida
One of Vero Beach's most prestigious clubs — we stopped in to catch a pro exhibition and were blown away by the courts. The nicest facilities in the area, no question.
Flushing, New York
A must-see for any tennis enthusiast — we've watched many matches here during the early rounds of the US Open, and this year scored great seats. Nothing beats a night match under the lights with an American in the draw.
Orlando, Florida
A spontaneous stop on the way out of Orlando Airport that turned into a full day — facility tour, group lesson, and a live college match all in one visit. The largest tennis facility in the world didn't disappoint.
Roquebrune-Cap-Martin, Monaco
The most beautiful tennis club in the world — and one of the hardest to get onto. We couldn't land a court, but the gracious staff gave us a full tour and let us loose in the pro shop.
Orchid, Florida
A small, charming green clay club in Vero Beach where we played doubles with family. The head pro had ties to Traverse City and personally invited us to come play — a wonderful full-circle moment.
Paris, France
A guided tour of the most famous clay court venue in the world — we walked Court Philippe-Chatrier, visited the player locker rooms where Rafa is the only player with his own permanent locker, and paid our respects at the Nadal statue. Bucket list, checked.
Traverse City, Michigan
Our hometown club — two hard courts tucked behind vine-covered fencing and trees, about as private as it gets in Michigan. We even took our engagement photos here.
Biot, French Riviera
Home of Patrick Mouratoglou, Serena Williams' legendary coach — we planned ahead, booked a lesson with a former WTA pro, and left with our games genuinely improved. French pros train here daily.
Cap-d'Ail, French Riviera
A stunning seaside red clay facility along the French Riviera — a local member was kind enough to give us a lift to and from the club, and we repaid the favor with a match worth remembering.
Beaulieu-sur-Mer, Côte d'Azur
Our go-to club on annual trips to Cap Ferrat for the past four years. We've built real friendships here with local players and coaches — it genuinely feels like a second home.
Alassio, Italian Riviera
Discovered while traveling the French and Italian Riviera — a historic red clay club with serious character. A pro came in on his day off just to hit with us, which said everything about the place.
Midtown Manhattan, New York
One of tennis' best kept secrets — a hidden club tucked above Grand Central Station. If you know, you know. The courts were busy when we found it, but we made it count with a stop at the pro shop.
Chicago, Illinois
One of Chicago's most legendary private clubs — we came to service their ball machines and left with one of their old ones in tow. Not a bad souvenir from a world-class facility.
